Dr. Stallings is originally from Decatur, Alabama and graduated from Decatur High School in 2003. She played basketball and volleyball at Decatur, as well as her first year of college at Martin Methodist University in Tennessee. She obtained her BS at Athens State University majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry. Audra graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 and was a general practitioner in Birmingham for almost 2 years. The next adventure was moving to the DFW area in Texas to work at a 24 hour emergency hospital in Arlington, Texas. She stayed there for 5 years until she and her husband (and at the time only son) decided to move back to Alabama. She worked as a general practitioner for another 3.5 years as well as doing relief emergency work at HVSE since the facility opened. In 2021, she pursued ER medicine only again.
Dr. Stallings family includes her husband (Chris), three boys under age 8 (Thatcher, Whittaker, and Everett), Lab mix (Remy), Shih tzu (Juno), Maltese (Wrigley), a rambunctious orange tabby (Gouda), and hidey cat (Winnie). Dr Stallings loves goats and small ruminants as well as furry pocket pets, and would have more animals if she could.
In her free time, Audra is a fitness instructor and enjoys all forms of fitness/exercise/weight lifting and playing intramural sports. She loves to be outside and hike, river days on the boat with friends/family, the beach, watching her boys play sports, every holidays magic and activities, attending Church of the Highlands, and catching up with friends near and far.
Special interests include surgery, client communication and education/support, internal medicine/critical care, and ultrasound.
