Huntsville Veterinary Specialists & Emergency is located in Huntsville, Alabama, which is centered in the heart of the Tennessee valley. We are proud to serve the referring veterinary community of northern Alabama and southern Tennessee.
Our hospital is fully supported with an excellent nursing staff, digital radiography, ultrasonography, a 16 slice CT, as well as endoscopic equipment with a commitment to grow the endoscopic equipment for the prospective internal medicine specialist. We strive to bring the first multi-specialty veterinary hospital to the veterinary community and general public in our area.

Huntsville Veterinary Specialists & Emergency, Inc. is seeking a full-time emergency doctor to join our rapidly growing hospital. We currently have two board certified surgeons, two full-time and three part-time emergency doctors and are awaiting the arrival of our newly hired neurologist. We are also actively seeking internal medicine specialists with the goal of becoming Huntsville’s first and only multi-specialty hospital. Our emergency service is currently operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We are looking for motivated veterinary technicians seeking to work in a high quality referral and ER hospital with a strong team-based culture. Comfort with anesthesia/pain management and the willingness to learn and grow in the field are essential. Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities will include admitting and discharging patients, venipuncture, placement of I.V. catheters, knowledge of pharmaceuticals, and the willingness to work with other team members to complete all necessary tasks. Position(s) being offered entails all hours of Emergency Critical Care. Our ER department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Qualifications
At least 2 years of work as a licensed technician is desired.
