Meet The Team

Geoff Harriman was born and raised in Huntsville, AL.  He and his wife, Brooke, have three children (Hayes, Hill, and Saylor Grace) as well as two dogs (Max and Snoopy) and two cats (Alex and Nala).  Geoff enjoys playing golf, running, working out, and most importantly spending time with his family.

Education:

• Graduated Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009
• Completed one year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Georgia Veterinary Specialists in Sandy Springs, GA from 2009-2010
• Completed one year surgical internship in small animal surgery at Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in Overland Park, KS from 2010-2011
• Completed three year surgical residency in small animal surgery at Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in Levittown/Philadelphia, PA from 2011-2014
• Passed ACVS credentialing exam for board-certification in small animal surgery in 2016

Dr. Sarah Saylor is originally from Fairhope, Alabama. She attended Auburn University for both her undergraduate studies and veterinary school, graduating as valedictorian of her veterinary class. After graduation, Dr. Saylor moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, where she completed a small animal rotating internship and surgical residency at North Carolina State University, finishing in July 2026.

Following her residency, Dr. Saylor moved back to Alabama to join Huntsville Veterinary Specialists and Emergency as a small animal surgeon. She enjoys all aspects of surgery, with particular interests in fracture repair, Achilles tendon injury, and reconstructive procedures. Dr. Saylor is also strongly committed to owner education, helping pet owners make informed decisions about their pet's treatment plans.

In her free time, Dr. Saylor enjoys traveling with her husband, running, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Jill Narak joined Huntsville Veterinary Specialists & Emergency in September 2019, as the only full-time board-certified veterinary neurologist in the state of Alabama. Dr. Narak received a Bachelor of Arts in English and Biology from Creighton University in 2001. She was awarded a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.

Dr. Narak continued her education with an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery (2006) and a residency in Neurology/Neurosurgery (2009) at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. During her time at Auburn, Dr. Narak also earned a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences.

After completion of her residency, Dr. Narak joined the faculty at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine.  In 2012, she moved back to Alabama to begin a family and served as an assistant professor in the Department of Clinical Sciences at Auburn University. She then spent a few years in private practice in the North Atlanta suburbs. She has taught and trained thousands of veterinary students, interns, and residents.

Dr. Narak is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association, American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM), Southeastern Veterinary Neurology Group, Georgia Veterinary Medical Association, Cobb County Veterinary Medical Association, and a founding member of the Veterinary Neurosurgical Society. Additionally, Dr. Narak is a visiting professor at St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada, West Indies.

In addition to her clinical work and teaching, Dr. Narak has been published in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Journal of Veterinary Research, Veterinary Radiology and Ultrasound, and Case Reports in Veterinary Medicine. Her clinical interests include neurosurgery, and she has expertise in the management of Chiari-like malformation and neuropathic pain.

Dr. Graham is board-certified in avian/exotic companion mammal practice and zoological medicine. She earned her DVM from Auburn University in 1999, completed an avian/exotic internship at UGA, and finished a three-year residency in avian/exotic animal medicine at UC Davis. She went on to work at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston and directed the Zoological Companion Animal Medicine Service at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University until early 2022. Her professional interests include NSAIDs and inflammation management, oncology in exotic species, Encephalitozoon cuniculi, and emergency and critical care of exotic animals. She is available for consultations Tuesdays and Thursdays.

HVSE's Avian and Exotics service, led by Dr. Graham, is dedicated to the health and well-being of birds, reptiles, and small mammals, offering full medical and surgical care for exotic pets.

Dr. Alex Robbins is a dedicated veterinarian and Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT) passionate about helping pets regain mobility, strength, and comfort. Born and raised in Huntsville, AL, he has a deep connection to the local community and a commitment to providing exceptional care for pets in the area.

A graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Robbins brings expertise and compassionate care to every patient he treats, specializing in advanced rehabilitation techniques including underwater treadmill therapy, laser therapy, shockwave therapy, and land-based strengthening sessions. His goal is to enhance the quality of life for pets recovering from injury, surgery, or mobility challenges, helping them regain mobility and strength so they can move with ease and confidence.

When he's not working with his four-legged patients, Dr. Robbins enjoys playing golf and tennis. He also shares his home with his beloved cat, Sushi. Dr. Robbins looks forward to helping your pet feel their best through personalized rehabilitation and expert care!

Dr. Audra Stallings is an emergency room veterinarian originally from Decatur, Alabama, where she graduated from Decatur High School in 2003. She played basketball and volleyball there, as well as during her first year of college at Martin Methodist University in Tennessee, before earning her BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Athens State University. She graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 and spent almost two years as a general practitioner in Birmingham. She then moved to the DFW area to work at a 24-hour emergency hospital in Arlington, Texas, staying five years. Back home in Alabama, she worked as a general practitioner for another 3.5 years while also doing relief emergency work at HVSE since the facility opened, before returning to ER medicine full-time in 2021. She brings a steady, communicative approach to surgery, critical care, and ultrasound, with special interests in client communication, education and support, internal medicine/critical care, and ultrasound.

Dr. Stallings' family includes her husband, Chris; their three boys under age 8: Thatcher, Whittaker, and Everett; a Lab mix named Remy; a Shih Tzu named Juno; a Maltese named Wrigley; a rambunctious orange tabby named Gouda; and a hidey cat named Winnie. She loves goats and small ruminants as well as furry pocket pets, and would have more animals if she could.

In her free time, Audra is a fitness instructor and enjoys all forms of fitness, exercise, and weightlifting, as well as playing intramural sports. She loves being outside: hiking, river days on the boat with friends and family, the beach, watching her boys play sports, the magic and activities of every holiday, attending Church of the Highlands, and catching up with friends near and far.
